Technical Report Writer and Pentester
Hi, I'm Eli Bowen, a Computer Science graduate from Plymouth University, graduating with a 2:1 classification in Cyber Security. My academic and part-time roles have given me hands-on experience in penetration testing, network security, threat identification, coding, and technical report writing.
I have a strong interest in both red and blue teaming. This dual focus allows me to approach problems from both sides of the viewpoint—identification of weaknesses while also being able to conceptualise legitimate defence strategies.
Beyond academics, I work with Cyber PATH, a police-led initiative supporting small and medium-sized organisations. In this role, I conduct OSINT investigations, vulnerability assessments, and web application security checks. I also supervise students who deliver security awareness training to clients. This has enhanced my technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to simplify complex concepts in a way that someone with little to no knowledge of technology can understand.
Away from technology, I spend a lot of my free time motorbiking and hiking, which certainly keeps me grounded and refreshed!
